As a teaching assistant, you'll play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with special educational needs. Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with autism, assisting them in academic tasks, social interactions, and behavioural management. • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment by promoting acceptance, empathy, and understanding amongst students. • Monitor student progress and behaviour, documenting observations and communicating effectively with parents and caregivers. • Stay informed about strategies for supporting students with autism, participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
