This full-time role involves providing essential support to a student with challenging behaviour and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. While Team Teach training is desirable, we welcome applicants with a passion for helping children reach their full potential. The Role: Primary School Teaching Assistant - Supporting SEMH and Challenging Behaviour As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting a young student with challenging behaviour and SEMH. Your compassionate and patient approach will create a positive learning experience, helping the student overcome barriers to their education. Responsibilities: • Offer one-on-one support to the student, building a strong and trusting relationship. • Assist the class teacher in implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour. • Create a safe and supportive learning environment for the student to thrive. • Collaborate with other staff members to develop personalized learning plans. • Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster the student's well-being. • Monitor progress and communicate with parents and teachers about the student's development. Requirements: • Empathy and Resilience: A genuine understanding of SEMH and challenging behaviour, with the ability to remain calm and supportive. • Adaptability: Willingness to tailor your approach to suit the student's individual needs. • Positive Attitude: Enthusiasm for making a positive impact on a young learner's life. • Team Player: An ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support the student's growth. • Team Teach Training (Desirable): Experience with Team Teach techniques is desirable, though not essential.
