Here at Axcis we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a resource base for school refusers in Wilmslow. Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one and group support to students within the resource base. • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. • Support students in accessing the curriculum and completing academic tasks. • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to the needs of students facing behavioural challenges. • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the holistic support of students. Requirements: • Previous experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviour, particularly in a school setting. • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, demonstrating patience and empathy. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents. • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies. • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students. • Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development preferred.
