Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - College
Axcis Education are excited to offer a Learning Support Assistant role in the South Gloucestershire area. The role is working at a fantastic college supporting students with various SEND and mental health needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups. This role would be perfect for someone who is friendly, hardworking and positive. Experience supporting individuals who have challenging behaviour and/or mental health needs is preferable. Working hours for this role are between 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and the hourly rate of pay is £14.94. Responsibilities include: - Keeping the students engaged with their schoolwork to maintain their academic progress - Ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for the students to work in by listening and understanding their individual needs - Working with the teachers and wider school staff towards the student’s individual Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs) The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and a resilient personality, with a creative and flexible approach which builds success through challenge, personalisation and innovation. Requirements for this role include a passion for supporting students with SEND, strong communication and written English skills, Right to Work in UK.
