Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a reputable SEN school located in the Sefton area. We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistants to support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and challenging behaviour. This is a long-term, full-time position, offering between£12 -£15 per hour, Monday to Friday. Additionally, the school provides on-site parking facilities and is conveniently accessible via local transport links. The ideal candidates will possess a genuine passion for working with children, particularly those with additional needs, and will have demonstrable experience in managing challenging behaviours effectively. Duties will include providing one-to-one support to the student, implementing behaviour management strategies, and collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to create a supportive learning environment. Key Requirements: • Experience working with children with ASC and challenging behaviour • Strong behaviour management skills • Ability to work collaboratively within a team • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential • Fully enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a young student and contribute positively to their educational journey.
