Job Title: College Support Worker
A large special educational needs school based in Barnet which caters for students aged between 3 to 19 years old with Autism, SLD and Complex Needs are looking for enthusiastic and resilient teaching assistants to join them in September 2022.
The successful teaching assistant will be required to provide general classroom support and may also be asked to work on a one to one basis or in small groups. You will need to be committed to providing support to learners with a range of needs, be flexible in your approach and be able to work as part of a team. You will need excellent communication skills, along with patience and enthusiasm. Previous experience with SEND is a requirement.
Understanding and experience using Makaton, PECs and sensory approaches are advantageous but not essential.
The school are also open to receiving applications from people who have previously worked as support/care worker.
This is a full time, long term role to start in September 2022 and will continue until the end of the next academic year. (July 2023)
PAY - £80 - £90 a day
