Job Title: Primary Teacher SEN
Axcis Education is currently working with an outstanding special school near Pinhoe to recruit a SEN Teacher for a KS1 class. The school is part of a large specialist education academy with pupils that have complex ASD and MLD.
The role is to teach a KS1 class of approx 8 students with mixed abilities. Some students are studying national curriculum and others have specific lesson plans. Many of the students are supported by dedicated teaching assistant / enablers within the classroom. This is a supply role so lesson plans will be provided. You will be required to work on a full-time basis from 8.45am to 4.30pm, starting in September 2022 until the end of December 2022
This role pays a daily rate in line with M1 to M6 depending on experience.
For this position you must have QTS Teacher status and also have extensive experience of working with KS2 SEN pupils - in particular with complex ASD and MLD. It is also essential that you have a compassionate and nurturing approach.
The ideal candidate will have:
" A flexible and resourceful approach to teaching
" You will be able to demonstrate positive reinforcement
" Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
" The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
" A minimum of 12 months of teaching experience
" Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
" Enhanced DBS/Police checks
