Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education are working with a new, purpose built school in Winkleigh, Mid Devon to recruit an experienced, resilient and engaging teaching assistant that has experience working with primary aged pupils with SEMH who can display challenging behaviour. This is a full time role on a 1-1 basis in a classroom setting. The school cater for primary and secondary aged pupils and group the children according to ability rather than age, so you will need to be prepared to work with children from KS1 and KS2. This school provide a creative & nurturing learning environment, in addition to a range of therapies that support student social development. The school is based in a semi rural location, 45 minutes from Exeter, Barnstaple and Oakhampton. Attached to an existing primary special school with a great reputation, the new secondary building will house 20 KS3 to KS5 pupils who all display very challenging behaviours. The candidate must be passionate and dedicated in their job role. The school has a lovely group of teaching assistants who work together to provide the best care. The pay rate is £75 to £80 per day.
