Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
We are working with a primary school in Central Bristol requiring a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support an autistic child in Year 2. You will be supporting the child in lessons and working with them to achieve targets set on their IEP (Individual Educational Plan) and EHCP (Educational Healthcare Plan). Previous experience of managing IEPs and EHCPs is an advantage, as is knowledge of autism and strategies to manage challenging behaviour. Working hours are 8.30 – 3.30 Monday to Friday, term time only and pay is £75 per day. This is a temporary role until the end of the academic year but may be extended dependent on funding. The school is located in a residential area and has an Ofsted good rating. There is a car park for staff use and additional on street parking is available. If using public transport, there are good bus links for various routes near to the school. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting children with special educational needs either in an educational or support setting.
