Axcis are working closely with a mainstream primary school in the Bury area, who are looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant.
The school is based centrally in the Bury area and specifically caters for students aged 4 - 11 years old. The school if Ofsted judged "outstanding" and is frequently commended throughout the report for the behaviour of children in school. The school has a large on site car park, brand new facilities and a welcoming and inclusive staff team. The school are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis, a candidate with exceptional behaviour management skills and an ability to build rapport with students. The school are hoping to appoint a long term, 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a KS2 pupil who has SEMH difficulties and often displays difficult behaviours.
The role is full time and school hours are 8.15am - 3pm Monday - Friday. The role will require a candidate with strong behaviour management skills and the role will start after the Easter holidays, on a long term basis. It will be your sole responsibility to support the needs of the student, on a 1:1 basis and you must liaise with his family and other staff members about his progress. To apply for this role, you must have education experience and be a qualified teaching assistant.
The candidate should hold a TA Level 2 or above and be experienced in working on a 1:1 basis with students. The candidate will be hard working, empathetic, compassionate and understanding. The candidate must have strong behaviour management skills and be seeking a long term role in the Bury area. Continuity is very important for this pupil, so candidates must be seeking a long term role and be passionate about working with a student who finds it difficult to engage in education. Pay for this role will be on a weekly basis and you will have access to Axcis' CPD courses.
