Job Title: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
Based in St. Helens £12.50-£14.50 per hour based on experience Axcis Education is searching for a dedicated individual who is passionate about positively impacting the lives of students. As a full-time Teaching Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with high school students in overcoming attendance challenges. This long-term role involves providing support and encouragement to school refusers, helping them break down barriers to education. Responsibilities: Provide support and encouragement to students struggling with attendance, helping them overcome barriers. Build positive relationships with students to understand their individual needs and motivations. Assist teachers in implementing strategies to engage school refusers in learning. Offer one-on-one academic and emotional support to help students progress and address attendance issues. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to develop personalized support plans. Monitor and track student progress, maintaining detailed records of interventions and outcomes. Qualifications: Preferred experience working with adolescents, particularly those with attendance challenges. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with students. Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations. Dedication to promoting inclusivity and diversity. Flexibility to adapt to changing student and school needs. A relevant qualification in education or youth work is desirable but not required.
