Axcis is looking for a support worker in the High peak / Disley area. For this role you will need to drive and have access to your own car. This is temp to perm role to start ASAP. About the role: As Teaching Assistant you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. The hours for this role is 8:30 - 4:30pm. The successful candidate will be dynamic, creative and will work hard to meet the personalised needs of our children. The post holder will have high expectations of the children ensuring they reflect on the children’s needs to ensure progress is being made both academically, socially and emotionally. You will support the class teacher to promote positive behaviour, you will understand learning objectives, content and intended outcomes for the learning activities in which students are involved and you will support monitoring student progress. You will be part of a key team around the young person in order to maintain consistent support, communication and updated support plans. About you: Ideally, for this role, we are looking for someone who has experience of working with children who have ASC/SEMH needs, a passion for supporting young people to learn and develop but more importantly, someone who wants to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. We look for people to join our staff team who have the creativity and enthusiasm needed to deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people. You will need to be experienced supporting children or vulnerable adults, however not necessarily in a school environment. Axcis offers free CDP and safeguarding training, along with competitive rates of pay. This role would start of at £90 - £105 a day depending on experience.
