Job Title: Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
Complex Needs Teaching Assistant Location: Cardiff, CF15 Start Date: January 7th Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary with the view to go permeant We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a specialised school in Cardiff, South Glamorgan. The school caters to students aged 3-19 years with complex disabilities, physical impairments and associated learning needs. Key Responsibilities: - Support individual students with complex needs by facilitating their engagement in learning activities and promoting a positive educational environment. - Assist with the use of specialist facilities, including sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pools and adapted classrooms, ensuring that students' safety and progress are prioritised. - Implement personalised learning strategies under the guidance of the lead teacher, adapting methods to suit individuals' needs. - Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to the educational team and families as required. - Promote independence, life skills and social integration amongst students with sensitive, nurturing encouragement. Qualifications & Experience: - Experience working with children with SEND and varying needs preferred. - An understanding of multi-disciplinary approaches to education and therapy. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Information: - Hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm. - Roles: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. - Pay: £83.40 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. - This role is initially temporary with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
