Job Title: English and Maths Tutors
JOB LOCATION:

Axcis Education is looking for Tutors from end of May 2021 onwards to provide English and Maths tuition sessions for young adults aged 16-19 who are studying towards their GCSEs across Somerset Local Authority. You will be supporting each student on a 1:1 basis in locations such as, public libraries and colleges. Students enrolled in this programme require help in achieving a GCSE grade 9 to 4 or A* to C, in both Maths and English in order to progress to further study, training and skilled employment. To be successful in this role candidates' must have experience of working with special educational needs and disabilities. Many of the young adults you will be supporting will having developmental, emotional and or learning needs. Applicants must have qualified teacher status (QTS) and have an up to date DBS certificate. You will be required to work on an ad-hoc basis and be prepared to travel to various locations including: Taunton; Bridgwater; Yeovil and the Mendips. Competitive rates of pay, paid on an hourly basis. Applicants will be expected to fill out a feedback form at the end of each session so that the students progress can be monitored.
