Position: Teaching Assistant SEND Location: Tottenham, London Employment Type: Full-Time Start Date: September Salary: £93 upwards per day About the School: The role is within a friendly and inclusive primary school in Tottenham. They are dedicated to providing a supportive environment for all our students, especially those with Special Educational Needs. Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a primary school’s SEND department. This full-time role involves working closely with teachers and supporting students with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: • Help plan and deliver learning activities for students with SEND. • Support students in their social, emotional, and academic development. • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students. • Assist teachers in adapting classroom materials for SEND students. • Monitor and record student progress. • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support. Requirements: • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in an SEND setting. • Understanding of SEN practices and support strategies. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children with additional needs. • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are a plus.
