Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a primary school’s SEND department. This full-time role involves working closely with teachers and supporting students with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: • Help plan and deliver learning activities for students with SEND. • Support students in their social, emotional, and academic development. • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students. • Assist teachers in adapting classroom materials for SEND students. • Monitor and record student progress. • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support. Requirements: • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in an SEND setting. • Understanding of SEN practices and support strategies. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children with additional needs. • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are a plus.
