Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant (Maths or English Experience)
About the Role: We are a dynamic and supportive educational agency seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant, preferably with a specialism in Maths or English, to join a reputable secondary school in NW2. This full-time role involves working closely with students aged 11-18 within the school's Autism provision. Key Responsibilities: • Supporting the learning and development of students with Autism in both one-on-one and group settings. • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons in Maths or English. • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Providing pastoral care and supporting students' emotional well-being. • Adhering to Individual EHCP’s and Behaviour Support Plans. • Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students. Requirements: • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with a specialism in Maths or English. • Experience working with students with Autism or within an ASD provision. • Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of students with special educational needs. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of young people. Desirable: • Relevant qualifications. • Training in Autism or related SEN areas. • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
