We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our large and vibrant school in Bournemouth. You will be working with a team of experienced staff members who are committed to providing high-quality education and care to our preschool and reception children. Responsibilities: - Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing educational activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. - Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, aiding their learning, development, and socialisation. - Help to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for our young learners. - Support children with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities. - Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher and parents as appropriate. - Prepare classroom materials, set up equipment, and ensure the learning environment is well-maintained and conducive to child-led learning. - Facilitate indoor and outdoor play, and assist with feeding, toileting, and changing needs as required. - Participate in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher events. Requirements: - Proven experience in an EYFS setting is essential. - Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent is desirable. - Understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and early years outcomes. - Ability to establish strong relationships with children, parents, and staff. - A patient, caring, and creative individual with a genuine enthusiasm for early childhood education. - Excellent communication and organisational skills. - Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently when required. - Enhanced DBS check, or willing to undergo one.
