Job Title: Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant
An excellent school in central Slough is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This full-time position (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday) is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with behavioural challenges and the ability to create a calm, structured learning environment.
Role Overview:
• Support students with SEMH needs, helping them engage with lessons and social activities.
• Use effective strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to foster a safe and inclusive space.
• Assist teachers with tailored interventions and classroom tasks.
• Offer emotional and pastoral support when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with SEND students is required. While a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial, it’s not essential. The school values individuals who can connect with students, offer stability and encourage progress.
