Job Title: Further-Education, SEND Teaching Assistant in Redditch
Location: Redditch Position: SEND Teaching Assistant Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Pay: From £89 per day (dependent on experience) We are seeking a caring and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students with additional needs in their transition through college. You will work closely with students who require additional support, including those in our SEN (Special Educational Needs) base, as well as those who may experience anxiety-related challenges. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and group support for students with a range of additional needs. • Assist with their academic work and help with the development of their independent skills. • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. • Support students in managing and overcoming challenges related to anxiety and other emotional needs. • Assist in preparing students for life beyond college, helping them build confidence and self-esteem. The Ideal Candidate Will: • Be caring, empathetic, and passionate about supporting students with additional needs. • Understand SEN, including anxiety and emotional needs. • Have experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting (although not essential). • Be patient, flexible, and able to work as part of a team. • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
