Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEND) – Knowsley Kickstart your career in education with a role that truly makes a difference! Axcis Education is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the Knowsley area, working with students who have a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. This full-time role offers the chance to work in a nurturing, close-knit school that provides tailored education to students who require additional support. With small class sizes, a dedicated team of staff, and a supportive leadership team, the school focuses on building strong relationships and creating an environment where every student can thrive. What You'll Be Doing: Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis. Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery, adapting materials to meet students' individual needs. Helping students develop their social skills and manage emotional regulation. Building positive relationships with students, offering both academic and emotional support. Working collaboratively with the SENCO, teachers, and external agencies to support each child’s learning journey. What We're Looking For: Recent graduates with a passion for working with children with additional needs. A caring, patient, and resilient individual with excellent communication skills. Someone who can think on their feet and adapt to the needs of the students. Prior experience with SEND is a bonus, but not essential – enthusiasm and dedication are key!
