An opportunity has come up to work as a 1:1 HLTA assisting two secondary aged pupils; 1 in year 10 and the other in year 11 who both have low functioning Autism (ASD). Both pupils have an EHCP, with their Autism, have communication difficulties but are both extremely well behaved, lovely students to work with.
The school is after someone who cans support the students with the work they are doing and occasionally step up into more of a teacher role should the students need that. This is a full time post, Monday to Friday - 08.30-15.30 totalling 37.5 hours per week with a 30 minute lunch break starting in September and is to carry on until the end of the next academic year for the right candidate.
If you have good experience of working with children and supporting their learning in a school setting this is a great opportunity for you to join a team that work well together. Your role will mainly be based in the 'whole-class' setting working with the two students.
This school is a Christian based independent school that covers all abilities however children who attend must be of the Plymouth Brethren religion.
