Inclusion Manager - Primary School - Year Long Contract - Tameside - Manchester Temporary position initially for one year 36 hours per week, term time plus 5 days additional. (Please note that there may be occasions during the school holidays when attendance at meetings may be necessary) Working hours: Monday – Friday: 8.30 am to 4.30 pm Kat at Axcis Education is working on behalf of a well-loved Primary School, who seek to appoint a Pastoral & Safeguarding Manager to provide pastoral care and support to all pupils. This is a new post and we think that it is one where the right candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to help shape and support the future of so many young pupils. We want the best for our children and families, and we are keen to employ someone who has the same compassion and understanding. The successful candidate will work closely with children, their families, school staff and other professionals to identify and address barriers to learning. YOU WILL: 1. Take joint responsibility with the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the school, dealing with all safeguarding and child protection matters 2. Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact 3. Be available for staff to discuss safeguarding concerns 4. Provide pastoral care, support and guidance to pupils in school. To liaise with parents, school staff and external agencies to offer the best possible care for all pupils 5. Manage pupil attendance in school and liaise with the local authority Attendance Officer 6. In conjunction with the Headteacher and School Business Manager ensure Pupil Premium funding is appropriately targeted and provide reports to the Headteacher detailing expenditure and outcomes 7. Undertake such duties and work hours as agreed with the Headteacher and carry out duties as may be required from time to time as detailed by the Headteacher 8. Be responsible for all information recording and sharing in line with GDPR and other guidance. 9.
