Job Title: KS2/3 SEMH Support
Axcis Education have recently begun to work closely with a nurturing and supportive SEMH Setting near Castleford. They are currently recruiting for TWO Learning Support Staff Or HLTAs to support learning in a KS3 class at their main site setting, supporting KS2 and KS3 Pupils.
Adopting a Primary style model, Classroom Learning takes place with the delivery of a curriculum tailored to each individual and group including the delivery of Maths, English, Life Skills and Vocational Studies. You will be responsible for helping to create and support the delivery of lessons and sessions that engage young learners and inspire them to achieve their maximum potential.
Successful candidates will need to have a positive and enthusiastic outlook combined with a Patient and consistent approach to learning. Experience in working with Challenging Behaviour, Residential School Settings, SEMH Schools and Alternative Provisions is highly desirable, as is Team Teach training or equivalent/similar qualifications in Behaviour Management and/or crisis de-escalation.
The school are ideally wanting to recruit someone for a January start, but if availability allows, they would take someone on sooner on a temporary contract with the opportunity to go permanent as soon as is applicable.
