As an SEN TA, you will provide tailored support to students, ensuring they have access to a high-quality education in a structured and nurturing environment. You will work one-to-one and in small groups, helping students develop their academic, social, and communication skills. This role requires patience, adaptability, and a passion for supporting students with additional needs. The role involves providing one-to-one support for students with ASD, assisting with academic tasks, and helping students engage in learning while managing challenges. You will support students with social skills and emotional regulation, working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement learning strategies. Creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment and encouraging student independence are also key aspects of the position. To be considered for this role, you must have experience working in a secondary school or college setting and previous experience supporting students with ASD on a one-to-one basis. An understanding of global developmental delay and ADHD is essential, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
