Job Title: Learning Support Assistants
Learning Support Assistants, Salsbury Axcis Education is currently looking for candidates to complete flexible ad hoc work in schools, predominantly with special educational needs, in Salsbury and the wider area. Whether you are in need of 1 days work a week or 5, we can help you. We are looking for people that are open and happy to working with a wide range of ages from as young as 5 up to 20. As a learning support assistant, you will be required to work school hours (8:30 - 3:30). We are looking for people that perhaps have previous school experience or have worked with a range of additional needs, for example Autism and severe learning difficulties. The ideal person will be supportive, approachable, empathetic and reliable. Due to the nature of working with those with special educational needs, skills in personal care and manual handling would be advantageous but certainly not essential. The ideal candidate will have; - Experience working with children or young adults in any format, such as youth centres - Experience working with special needs such as autism - Relevant qualifications and/or training such as Team Teach (although this is not essential) - A can do attitude and willingness to help a school or provision in anyway they can - An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (if you don't have one, we can help you apply for one) - Previous teaching assistant or support worker experience is also desirable If you are interested, then please contact Lee Harris at Axcis Education on 0117 373 6127.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
