Job Title: P.E/Humanities Teacher – Torbay
Axcis Education are working with an alternative provision in Torbay, who are seeking a teacher of Physical Education and Humanities to teach full time from October. The provision is tailored to meet the needs of children special education needs and disabilities, so class sizes are much smaller and lesson times are shorter. The school prioritise staff wellbeing, with all staff provided breakfast and lunch.
The working hours are 8.30 - 3.30, with a 2pm finish on a Friday. Your rate of pay will be between £165-£220 a day, depending on your previous teaching experience.
In this role, the successful applicant will be supporting pupils who shave struggled to access a mainstream curriculum due to learning barriers or other circumstances. You will plan and deliver stimulating and engaging Physical Education/Humanities lessons, making use of the fantastic facilities on offer at the school site and nearby community facilities. You must have a drive to establish positive relationships with pupils, as this is essential for the position.
To apply for this role, experience of teaching Physical Education (P.E) and/or Humanities, or sports coaching, is essential. Unqualified sports coaches - with school-based experience - are also welcomed to apply. You must be a kind, caring, patient and resilient individual who is motivated to make a difference.
