Job Title: Part time Maths teacher needed for SEND school in Caterham, Surrey
A residential special school catering for young men in year 10 and year 11 ( KS3/KS4) who have a statement of SEND or an EHC Plan which identifies Communication and Interaction needs as a primary need, are looking for a part time Maths teacher to start - working 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday ). The school are also happy to consider candidates who would like to work a minimum of 4 days a week. Many of their students have autism (ASD). The young men who attend are academically able, with many obtaining GCSE grades A and B in Maths and Science. Specialised support is in place for those who find English more challenging. All of their young men are exceptionally well behaved, and engage in and are responsible for their own learning. The schools values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and acceptance of those with different faiths and beliefs are actively promoted throughout the school. Moreover, the Safeguarding of both students and staff is of paramount importance to them. SEND experience is a bonus but not essential for this role, however you must be a fully qualified Maths teacher with either QTS or QTLS. Pay rate ranges from £140 to £175 per day depending on experience. Working hours are 8.15am to 4pm. Interviews are currently taking place via Zoom and this role starts from the 8th March 2021.
