Primary Teaching Assistant Axcis Education are proud to be recruiting exclusively alongside a well renowned village primary school just outside of Gloucester city centre who are looking for a full-time teaching assistant to start asap and continue full time Monday to Friday 08.30-4.00 until the end of the academic year. This well respected, recently Ofsted rated ‘outstanding’ school is looking for a teaching assistant to support on a general class basis supporting pupils with mild learning difficulties, Autism, ADHD as well as global delay. You will be working on both a 1-1 and group basis dependant on which students need help as and when and will be supported by a team of teaching assistants as well as class teachers. About the Role: As a teaching assistant you will: • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to learners across different classrooms dependant on needs of learners. • Work within an adapted space that includes a therapy room, sensory room, and bespoke outdoor provision as well as going out in the community on trips / projects. • Help develop skills across the students individual curriculum, including Independence, Communication, Social and Emotional development, Sensory and Physical, and Cognition. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who: • Has experience supporting young adults with Autism, learning difficulties or other SEND. • Is enthusiastic about helping children develop their independence, communication, and social skills. • Can create a nurturing and inclusive environment tailored to each child’s unique needs and interests. • Is adaptable, patient, and passionate about working with teenagers and young adults with SEND needs and disabilities. • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.
