Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children diagnosed with autism, offering tailored support to enhance their educational experience. The centre provides a curriculum specifically adapted from the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum to support the academic and personal development of all pupils. Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children with autism. While experience in education is beneficial, the right personality and motivations are most important. Key attributes include: • Empathy and patience in understanding diverse learning needs. • Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. • Adaptability and resilience in responding to varying classroom dynamics. • Commitment to promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities in education. School Environment: The school is dedicated to creating a supportive atmosphere where every child is encouraged to be "Kind, Brave, Brilliant." The centre emphasises a multi-sensory curriculum, using approaches such as Makaton, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and TEACCH strategies to support communication and learning.
