Job Title: Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties Teacher
Axcis Education are looking for a KS1 SEND Teacher to work in a Special School in Dartington, starting in September. The children have profound multiple learning difficulties and complex needs with a range of learning difficulties and communication requirements. We pay a daily rate of £140 - £160 per day working on a full time basis from Monday to Friday. The school is a total communication school teaching children from 3-19 years old. The school is in a rural location with beautiful landscapes which are captured in community projects at the school. The special school have amazing resources for every child to succeed and be included. The school follow the National Curriculum which is differentiated to the appropriate levels. For this role you must: • NQT, PGCE and/or QTS certification • SEND teaching experience in special need school settings, interventions or PRU’s • Availability to work 8:30am-3:45pm, Monday to Friday in September • A positive and nurturing approach to teaching • Experience with planning based on EHCPs or using resources such as PECS, Makaton or TEACCH is highly desirable but not essential. This is a very rewarding role with the potential to go permanent for the right Teacher.
