Axcis are looking to appoint two residential support assistants for a children's home on the outskirts of Bolton, Greater Manchester.
The homes are based on the outskirts of Bolton, across 3 different sites. You will be expected to work in all 3 homes so ideally, you will be a car driver as they're not accessible via public transport easily. The homes cater for 11 - 18 year old children who have additional learning needs and social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The homes cater for children who are in the care system and / or have been involved in youth offenders. The homes cater for children who do display challenging behaviours from time to time.
The Bolton based homes are looking for experienced residential support assistants who can promote the welfare and safety of their children. The home are looking to appoint two, caring, hard working and empathetic residential support assistants who have previously worked with children. The roles are full time and on a shift basis, which may include overnight shifts, weekend shifts and long days (14 hours). You will likely work around 39 hours per week.
The candidate suited to this role will:
- Have experience working with children
- Have strong behaviour management skills
- Have experience working with children or adults with special educational needs
- Be available full time
- Able to work shifts, sometimes at short notice
- Have a confident yet caring personality
Pay for this role starts at £11.33 per hour and candidates must be able to provide a DBS and 2 references.
