Job Title: Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant
Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant – Huyton
Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? Do you have experience working in secondary settings, helping young people reach their potential?
An SEN Secondary School in Huyton is looking for a dedicated Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This school provides specialized support for students aged 11 to 19 with a range of needs, including complex needs, non-verbal communication, nurture provision, and preparation for formal education.
About the Role:
Location: Huyton, just a 15-minute walk from Huyton train station and near the M57
Roles Available: Day-to-day, part-time, and long-term positions
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with SEN students, ideally in a secondary setting
Team Teach and Makaton training is a plus
A compassionate, patient approach and a genuine desire to make a difference
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to support a range of needs, from complex to more formal learning preparation
