This role involves supporting young students, particularly those with ADHD, Autism and Challenging Behaviour, helping them thrive academically and socially in a supportive primary school environment. Role Overview Personalised Support: Work 1:1 and in small groups with students with a variation of SEND, adapting your approach to meet individual needs. Encouraging Engagement: Help students who face challenges in the classroom, fostering their engagement with lessons and activities. Skill Development: Use targeted strategies to promote social, emotional, and academic growth. Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed records of students' progress and regularly update teachers and the SENCO. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience: Prior experience working with secondary school-aged children with special needs is essential. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build trusting, positive relationships with students and be a reliable presence in the classroom. The daily rate of pay for a SEND Teaching Assistant is between £100.29-£105.29.
