Job Title: Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant
Axcis Education is pleased to partner with a welcoming and inclusive all aged SEND school in Stratford Upon Avon, seeking an experienced secondary SEND Teaching Assistant to start in November. This role involves supporting young students, particularly those with ADHD, Autism and Challenging Behaviour, helping them thrive academically and socially in a supportive primary school environment. Role Overview Personalised Support: Work 1:1 and in small groups with students with a variation of SEND, adapting your approach to meet individual needs. Encouraging Engagement: Help students who face challenges in the classroom, fostering their engagement with lessons and activities. Skill Development: Use targeted strategies to promote social, emotional, and academic growth. Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed records of students' progress and regularly update teachers and the SENCO. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience: Prior experience working with secondary school-aged children with special needs is essential. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build trusting, positive relationships with students and be a reliable presence in the classroom. The daily rate of pay for a SEND Teaching Assistant is between £100.29-£105.29.
