Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
A mainstream secondary school in Harrow is looking for a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their Additional Support Provision team. This role is focused on providing tailored support for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Key Details Role: Teaching Assistant – SEMH Support Location: Mainstream Secondary School, Harrow Key Stages: KS3 and KS4 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pay: £84+ per day (dependent on experience) Start Date: Immediate Role Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH needs. Assist in the delivery of tailored interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners. Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and other colleagues to implement strategies that promote students’ academic and emotional development. Requirements Experience: Previous experience working with SEMH needs in a school setting is essential. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and effective ways to support them. Skills: Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed.
