Are you passionate about supporting students with special needs?
Axcis Education is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team at a special needs school in Bath. We are offering both full-time and part-time opportunities to support students on a 1:1 basis. The school caters to pupils across a broad age range, from primary (age 4) to secondary (up to age 19), and accommodates students with a wide variety of diagnoses and special needs.
About the Role:
Supporting pupils with diverse needs, including Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and challenging behaviours.
Working with students on both academic and social/emotional development, as well as cognitive functions.
Supporting pupils with developing life skills, particularly through the school’s specialized facilities, such as sensory rooms, a swimming pool, and a skills café designed for older students.
Knowledge of Makaton is advantageous but not essential.
About You:
We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. While previous experience in special needs education is highly desirable, we welcome applications from individuals with experience in care, particularly with adults with special needs, who are interested in transitioning into supporting children.

Experience working with special needs (care or educational settings).
A genuine passion for helping students develop both academically and socially.
An enhanced DBS check on the update service, or the willingness to apply for one.
