Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you a resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in Chessington? Axcis is currently looking for a resilient full time SEN Teaching Assistant to join this OFSTED 'Good' Secondary and primary campus school vacancy also in Chessington for a long-term position ASAP. This is a full time, long-term role for the rest of the academic year and possibly beyond, paying between £80.00 and £90 per day. This school provides an outreach service within the school for young people aged 11 - 16 years old who are struggling with social, emotional and mental health needs and need extra support so that they can remain in a mainstream school. The purpose of this outreach programme and supporting students on a 1:1 basis is to help the young person manage their mental health needs, increase self-esteem and confidence, increase motivation and help to promote a positive learning environment. Within this role, you will be working 1:1 with students across KS3 and KS4 who are struggling with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and who are in need of additional academic and emotional support. You will support in the classroom and outside of the classroom and you will be required to keep them focused, engaged, motivated and have a positive, energetic attitude. You will need to be a caring and compassionate individual who has a passion for supporting young people with mental health difficulties and/or mild SEN and be resilient enough to manage any behavioural challenges. Essential Requirements: •Experience supporting young people with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs. •Previous support work, TA or LSA work within a Secondary School or other related experience. •A caring and professional manner, willing to support with the personal care of pupils. •Must have legal right to work in the UK.
