1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Axcis are working with a college in the Cardiff area, who are looking to recruit a multiple teaching assistants to work 1-1 with a pupils in their SEND base whom has SEMH (social, emotional, mental health difficulties), ASD, Speech and Language Communication Needs, and MLD all of these roles are on a full time basis. The role starts September 2022 and there is potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
You will need to be able to quickly establish trust and rapport with the child as you will be working 1-1 with them each day. You will need to be empathetic, compassionate, calm and kind. The child exhibits challenging behaviour and needs a lot of reassurance and a positive role model.
You will be supporting pupils in the ALN department. The hours are typically 08:30 - 3:30 but they are offering flexible part time hours too, we pay every week on a Friday a week in arrears.
