Job Title: SEND school in Sidcup, Bexley looking for a full time float teacher - starts asap - QTS/QTLS needed
A SEND secondary school located a short walk from Sidcup station (Bexley) are looking for a full time float teacher. The students who attend the school have a variety of SEND including autism, profound multiple learning difficulties, ADHD and challenging behaviour. Classes are based on abilities as opposed to age groups. As the float teacher, you will cover a PMLD class for 2.5 days, and then PPA cover for 2 days. This role is Monday to Friday. You MUST have QTS/QTLS in order to apply for this role. Flexibility is the key! The school have a holistic approach to learning, students work on M Levels, their highest is Entry Level 1. Class sizes are 7-10, with 1 teacher and 3-5 TAs depending on student needs. Hours would be preference 8.30-4.30, with 5pm finish on a Tuesday for staff meetings and 4pm finish on a Friday, but the school are flexible. It is a 5 hour teaching day, PPA is 1/2 day per week, students are in from 9.30-3.15.
