Job Title: SEND TA
Teaching Assistant with Care Worker Experience – SEND Secondary School in Uxbridge
A SEND Secondary School located in Uxbridge is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with care worker experience to join their dynamic team. This position offers the flexibility of full-time or four days per week, with a focus on supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with both academic and personal care needs, helping students to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
The primary responsibilities will include providing one-to-one and group support, assisting with personal care tasks, and encouraging the development of life skills and independence. The ideal candidate will have experience in both educational settings and care roles, with a deep understanding of the specific needs of SEND students.
While epilepsy training or manual handling certification would be highly appreciated, it is not a requirement. Applicants must have a valid DBS check, two proof of address documents, and the right to work in the UK. The school is looking for a proactive and empathetic individual who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people with SEND.
