SEND Teacher (KS1) – Knowsley Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher looking for your next rewarding challenge? Axcis Education is recruiting for a KS1 SEND Teacher to join a leading special school in Knowsley, supporting young learners with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD). This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young children. You will lead a small class of KS1 students, tailoring your teaching to meet their individual needs and fostering an environment where every child feels valued and supported. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapting to meet the needs of students with SEND. Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and development. Work collaboratively with support staff to deliver 1:1 and small group interventions. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring every child reaches their potential. Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers to support holistic development. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in KS1 and a passion for working with children with SEND. A solid understanding of SEND strategies, especially for students with autism, ADHD, and MLD. Patient, creative, and empathetic, with the ability to tailor your approach to each child’s needs. Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies.
