Job Title: SEND Teacher
JOB LOCATION:
Richmond Upon Thames
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher to join our team in the Richmond area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD, ADHD,
and challenging behaviour
• Implement and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities
• Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students and monitor their progress
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff members to provide comprehensive
support
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and caregivers
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment
Qualifications and Experience:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with students with SEND, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, and challenging
behaviour
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and supporting students with special needs
