Axcis Education are working with a special school in Bridport who are looking for a SEND Secondary Teacher for a KS3 class. You must be available all weekdays and commit to the January term. The pay rate is £110 - £140 per day. The role is to teach a KS3 class with mixed abilities. Some students are studying national curriculum and others have specific lesson plans. Many of the students are supported by dedicated teaching assistants / enablers within the classroom. This is a supply role so lesson plans will be provided. You will be required to work on a full-time basis from 8.30am to 3.30pm until starting in January 2021. For this position you must have a QTS Teacher status and also have extensive experience of working with secondary SEND pupils - in particular with complex ASD and MLD. It is also essential that you have a compassionate and nurturing approach. The ideal candidate will have: " A flexible and resourceful approach to teaching " You will be able to demonstrate positive reinforcement " Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
