Teaching Assistant with Care Worker Experience – SEND Secondary School in Islington
A SEND Secondary School located in Islington is currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant with care worker experience to join their team. This position offers the option of full-time or four days per week, providing crucial support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will be responsible for both academic and personal care support, ensuring that students receive the necessary assistance to thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
Primary responsibilities will include one-to-one and group support, assisting with personal care tasks, and promoting the development of independence and life skills. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Teaching Assistant and in providing personal care, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of SEND students. Manual handling and Epilepsy certificates are required for this role.
Applicants must have a valid DBS check, two proof of address documents, and the right to work in the UK. The school is seeking an empathetic, proactive, and passionate individual who is dedicated to supporting the academic and personal growth of young people with SEND.
