Axcis Education is excited to be working with a forward thinking school in South Manchester, that is looking for a teaching assistant to join them in October 2020 with the potential of a permanent contract at the end of it.
The ideal teaching assistant will have solid experience working with primary aged students with SEND. Experience of supporting candidates on a 1:1 basis and with small groups is essential. The teaching assistant must have experience working with students with needs centred around speech & language needs. An understanding of needs such as: autism, ADHD, global delay and challenging behaviour is also required. If the ideal teaching was to hold a Team Teach certificate this would be added bonus for the school.
This full-time role would require the teaching assistant to work in a small SEND class within a mainstream primary school. The teaching assistant will aid the class teacher throughout the day across a range of classes. The teaching assistant must be flexible in nature, using their initiative to react to situations that occur throughout the day.
This forward thinking Trafford based primary school is based in the Urmston area and boasts excellent transport links. Strong Senior Leaders have created a happy, warm learning environment for their pupils and staff to thrive in. Inclusion is at the forefront of everything they do with parents, staff and students all pulling in the same direction. With a wonderful working environment and good transport links, this is a great school to continue your SEND journey in.
