Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Position: Full-Time SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Hartley
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £14.66 per hour
We are seeking a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support students aged 3-19 at our all-through SEND school. Students have a range of needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, PMLD, medical needs, and challenging behaviour. You will play a key role in supporting their development both academically and socially.
The school also runs a Forest School providing opportunities for students to explore nature, take supported risks, and develop emotionally, socially, and physically through child-initiated activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and group support to students with varying SEND needs.
• Assist with managing challenging behaviour and supporting social and emotional development.
• Support the delivery of Forest School activities, encouraging student interaction with nature.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement personalised learning plans.
Requirements:
• Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, or PMLD.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students thrive.
