SEND Teaching Assistants Needed

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEND? We’re seeking resilient, compassionate, and adaptable Teaching Assistants to work in a supportive and specialised Alternative Provision in Barnet.
Role Overview
Class Size: Approximately 10 pupils with diverse SEND needs.
Responsibilities:
Support pupils requiring sensory breaks and tailored strategies.
Help manage overstimulation with calm, patient interventions.
Work collaboratively to create a positive and nurturing environment.
Working Hours: Full-time, with half-day Fridays for improved work-life balance.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Have SEND experience, ideally in alternative or specialist settings.
Be resilient, with the ability to handle challenges calmly and confidently.
Show flexibility and adaptability in meeting the individual needs of pupils.
Be patient and empathetic, understanding the needs of children requiring sensory and emotional support.
Be a strong team player, ready to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families.
