Teaching Assistant (SEND)
Location: Romford
Start Date: January 2025
Contract Type: Temporary, ongoing
Salary: £85+ per day
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving primary school in Romford, Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND, both inside and outside the classroom.
Assist with planning and delivering tailored learning activities to meet individual needs.
Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to monitor and assess student progress.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting.
Understanding of SEND, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
