Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant (ASD & SEMH) – Prestwich (M25) – Immediate Start with Permanent Opportunity A specialist school in Prestwich (M25) is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a full-time role with the potential for a permanent position. Role Details: • Location: Prestwich (M25) • Start Date: ASAP • Pay Rate: £89 - £100 per day • Job Type: Full-time, with permanent potential Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with ASD and SEMH. • Assist in implementing individualised learning plans for students. • Use behaviour management techniques to support social and emotional development. • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver tailored support. • Help create a safe and positive learning environment. What We’re Looking For: • Experience with ASD, SEMH, or other SEND needs (preferred but not essential). • Knowledge of behaviour management and de-escalation techniques. • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships. • Passion for supporting students to achieve their full potential.
