Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistants
Axcis Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to work as SEND Teaching Assistants in special needs schools and provisions across Harrogate. This temporary, full-time role offers the opportunity to support children and young people with a variety of special educational needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or group support for pupils with a range of special needs, including Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Challenging Behaviour, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Non-Verbal Communication, and other associated conditions. Assist with intervention programmes to address specific learning needs. Support pupils in classroom settings, helping them stay focused and engaged. Build positive relationships with pupils, fostering their confidence and independence. We welcome applications from individuals with experience supporting people with special needs, particularly those with backgrounds in: Children's Residential Support Work, Youth Work, and Foster Care Ex-Military, Police, and Prison Officers Sports Coaching Psychology Graduates Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting SEND pupils are essential.
