**Job Title**: Speech and Language Therapist **Location**: Northolt, Greater London **Employment Type**: Full-time **Working Hours**: 08:30 AM - 04:00PM Job Description: Axcis are seeking a dedicated and experienced speech and language therapist to join our supportive team based in a vibrant primary school in Northolt, Greater London. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for helping children and have the expertise to offer both 1:1 and group support to our students. Responsibilities: - Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the needs of each child. - Provide 1:1 therapy and group support sessions to students with a variety of speech and language difficulties. - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to facilitate integrated support. - Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. - Engage in continuous professional development to ensure the latest evidence-based practice is applied. - Advise school staff on strategies and resources to support children with speech and language needs in the classroom. - Provide training to staff and parents on how to support the communication needs of children effectively. Requirements: - Recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy. - Registered member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). - Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a primary school setting. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents. - Proficiency in creating and implementing comprehensive treatment plans. - A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one. - Ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously. Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with a range of communicative conditions and the use of assistive technology. - Experience with special educational needs (SEN) is advantageous. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. - A commitment to child-centered and evidence-based practice.
